Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Singal said that Section 163 of the Indian Civil Protection Code has been implemented in the city. In fact, the first incident of clash took place in Chitnis Park area of Mahal at around 7.30 pm on Monday.
At the same time, the second clash took place between 10.30 and 11.30 pm near Puran Bhandara Road in Hanspuri area. During this time, a fierce mob burnt several vehicles and broke the houses in the area and set it on fire.

According to PTI report, Sharad Gupta, a resident of Hanspuri area, said that the crowd came between 10.30 and 11.30 pm and threw stones and set the vehicles on fire. He also said that the police reached the spot after an hour. Another resident Chandrakant Kavade said that the mob burnt all his decorations and threw stones at the houses. At the same time, officials said that a police force has been deployed in Hanspuri area. At present there is peace in the area.
