On the lines of the Yogi government’s anti -Romeo squad, the Delhi government has decided to set up a courtesy squad to stop Eve teasing and harassment. This squad will act like an anti -Romeo squad. Please tell that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had formed an anti -Romeo squad in the state for strict action against the people and the prunes.

A news agency was told by UP DGP Prashant Kumar that as per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, an anti -Romeo squad was formed to take action against the people and the prunes. For this, separate deployment of women and male policemen was done in every police station of the state. The policemen involved in this were to make them aware of safety by patrolling the schools, colleges, main markets, temples, crowded places by talking to daughters, women. Also, strict action was to be taken against the people.

The DGP informed that on the instructions of CM Yogi, a campaign is being conducted by anti -Romeo squad across the state. As part of the campaign, 4,00,58,562 persons have been checked at 1,08,85,450 places from 22 March 2017 to 5 February 2025. During the campaign, legal action was taken against 32,291 persons while registering 24,009 prosecutions, while 1,47,04,311 persons were released by warning.

What will be the courtesy squad:

The Eve Teasing Squad to be built in Delhi will have an inspector, an sub -inspector, 8 constables and head constables. There will be 4 women policemen. Along with this, a policeman from the special unit will be together for technical assistance. There will also be a car and two -wheelers near the squad to patrol the areas. Squad will be deployed in all sensitive areas.

Policemen posted in the squad will be posted in civil dress. Public transport will also inspect Squadskwad will conduct surprise inspection in public transport, DTC drivers, conductors and passengers will interact. And will motive to complain to the victims. Squad soldiers will also be in the touch (contact) of RWA and local volunteers, so that information about sensitive places will be available.

Senior officers will have to give report
