JSW MG Motor India has today launched its cheapest electric car MG Comet EV in a completely new avatar in the Indian market. All variant lineups of this car have updated features which make it better than the previous model. The price of this electric car starts at 4.99 lakhs, including the option of Battery-e-Saravis (BAAS) at the rate of Rs 2.5 per km.

The company has also started official booking of the new MG COMET. This small electric car can be booked through the company’s official website and authorized dealership with a booking amount of Rs 11,000. Variant …
The Comat EV is available in a total of 5 variants. Which includes executive, excite, excite fast charge, exclusive and exclusive fast charge. Excite and excite fast charge variants now have the facility of rear parking camera and power-folding outside rearview mirrors (orvms), which further improves the safety of this car.
Exclusive and exclusive fast charge variants have a 4-speaker audio system for premium ladre seats and better in-cabin experience. Apart from this, the fast charging variant is equipped with 17.4 kwh battery pack. The company claims that they provide the car up to 230 km (IDC) in single charge.
Blackstorm edition,
In February 2025, MG Motor introduced the Commit Blackstorm Edition, expanding the model range. This car is available at a price of 7.80 lakhs with a rate of 2.5 per km with battery-ease-e-service. This special edition variant has a ‘Starry Black’ exterior with dark chrome elements, black badges and red accent.

In Mg COMET EV, the company has dual front airbags, electronic breakforce distribution (EBD) with anti-lock braking system (ABS), rear parking sensor, speed-sensing auto door lock, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Reverse Parking Camera, Electronic Parking Break, Followed Features like Control (ESC) are provided.
The cabin of the car is being given ladorate seats, 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25 inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android auto and Apple CarPlay, Electronically Adjustable ORVM and four speaker audio system.
