The state drinking water and sanitation missions have intensified preparations so that water supply is not disrupted in rural areas during summer in Uttar Pradesh (Uttar Pradesh). On Wednesday, Namami Gange and Additional Chief Secretary of Rural Water Supply Department Anurag Shrivastava reviewed the departmental works being done for better water supply in the heat at the headquarters of State Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission.
During this time, the Additional Chief Secretary gave strict warnings to the engineers and working agencies posted in the field that piped water supply should not be interrupted during the summer. If there is a complaint of water supply affecting water supply or water supply from the tanker, then strict punitive action will be taken against the guilty engineers and agencies.
Significantly, there is a problem of water during summer in Bundelkhand and Vindhya areas. This is the reason that all engineers and agencies associated with Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department have been instructed to plan to deal with this problem in advance, so that rural water supply is not interrupted in the scorching heat.
Progress of engineers and agencies will stop
In the meeting held through video conferencing with ADM and Engineers of Namami Gange Department, Additional Chief Secretary warned in a strict tone that if water supply stops anywhere, then the progress of engineers and agencies will also stop. Also, punitive action will be taken on the Chief Engineers. During this, the Additional Chief Secretary also sought full details of water supply from all engineers and agencies during summer. Along with this, the officials also visited the villages and instructed to know the reality of water supply.

Payments of agencies may stop
Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Srivastava instructed the Executive Director of State Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission to stop paying the agencies working at a sluggish speed. Along with this, he has prepared a list of Executive Engineers, who has been constantly in monitoring, and asked him to send it to the government.
