The West Bengal government on Thursday issued a decree for the transfer of a female doctor who was leading the agitators seeking justice for the trainee female doctor who was a victim of rape and murder in RG Kar Medical College last year.
Actually, the state government has issued a transfer notice to Dr. Suvarna Goswami. Dr. Suvarna was at the forefront of a woman who demanded justice for a doctor in the hospital in August last year. She was the leadership of that dharna.
Dr. Suvarna Goswami, a member of West Bengal Public Health cum Administrative Service and currently posted as Deputy CMOH-II in East Bardhaman of South West Bengal, has been appointed to act as Superintendent of Darjeeling TB Hospital in the northern part of the state with immediate effect.
The government order states that Dr. Sunetra Mazumdar, Deputy CMOH-IV, former Bardhaman, will temporarily take charge of Deputy CMOH-II in addition to their general duties till further orders.
Let us tell you that in the month of August last year, 31 -year -old postgraduate trainee was found dead in the medical college and the seminar hall of the hospital, after which there were widespread protests.
