The Punjab government removed the protesting farmers from Shambhu and Khanouri border late Wednesday evening, after which the process of reopening the road has intensified. There has been significant progress towards re -starting the road on the Shambhu border. One -sided cement blocks and heavy concrete on the road have been completely removed, due to which the route is almost clear. The administration has opened the road on one side of the common people coming from Punjab to Haryana. Along with this, the Internet has also been started again in all areas. These roads were closed for about 13 months.
Drilling work is still going on on the road leading from Haryana to Punjab. There are many laborers and machines in the construction work, which are trying to fix the road completely. It may take some more time to completely restore traffic on this route. Strong security arrangements have been made by the administration and work is being done at a fast pace under the supervision of the police.
DIG Mandeep Singh Sindhu’s big statement
DIG Patiala Range Mandeep Singh Sindhu has given a big statement about the peasant movement. He said that if the farmers come towards the movement again, then the police is also ready. He also said that a plan to remove farmers from Khanouri border was made under ‘Clean Swip’, and now the people of Haryana are congratulating them on the phone.
Farmers of Haryana say that the administration has done a good job by removing the protesting farmers because the general public was having trouble due to them. According to the DIG Sindhu, the one -sided route of Shambhu border has been opened, but there was a major center of the peasant movement on the Khanouri border, where Jagjit Singh Dallawal was present.

Initially about 600 farmers were present on the border, out of which more than 400 farmers were detained. Farmers’ tractor-trolleys have been kept in a safe place.
