Ajay Kumar, the main accused of murder in an encounter between police and miscreants in Malihabad, Lucknow, was killed. Ajay was accused of killing a 32 -year -old woman from Banaras. This murder was strangled by the woman in an attempt to rape.
The team of DCP Western and Crime Branch laid siege in Mahmud Nagar area to catch Ajay. During this, Ajay tried to escape and fired on the police. He was injured in retaliation due to police bullet. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The police claim that this action has caused panic among criminals in the area and has strengthened law and order.
