Pak security forces firing on Baloch protesters
Mehrang alleged that the state security forces lathi -charged Baloch protesters, fired tear gas shells and intensified their attack through collective arrests. The networks were discontinued. To catch the protesters, security forces launched a search operation in Saryab, while three Baloch were killed and several others were injured in their firing. Mehrang Baloch said that at 5:30 am on Saturday morning, the security forces attacked the Baloch people who were protesting and crueled them.
The Pakistan Army committed violence against Baloch women, children and peaceful protesters. Security forces forcibly seized the bodies for which the protesters had planned to offer prayers today. Several other Baloch activists, including Maharang Baloch, dragged the security force from the dharna site and took them to the armored vehicles and arrested them. Workers of organizations like Baloch National Movement and Baloch Student-Organization Azad are being targeted by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan. They are being disappeared, their targeted killing is being done. Efforts are being made to silence these organizations by intimidating.

The issue of harassment raised in the United Nations Human Rights Council
Recently, the issue of human rights abuses was raised in Balochistan in the 58th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) held in Geneva. Niaz Baloch, coordinator of the State Department of Baloch National Movement and member of the Central Committee, expressed serious concern over the ongoing repression and atrocities in Balochistan. He mentioned the repression on Baloch political organizations like Baloch BSO-A and BNM. Niaz Baloch accused the Pakistani army of arbitrarily detaining, harassing them and pressing their voice. He said, “Forcibly disappearance has become a systematic means of oppression in Balochistan.” Niaz gave an example of the incidents of forced disappearance of several other Baloch activists including Burg Jehri and his brother Hammal Jehri, a member of the Central Committee of BSO-A.

Niaz Baloch alleged that extra judicial killings are increasing the crisis in Balochistan. He said that these incidents are being carried out by the government -supported groups supported by the Government of Pakistan, due to which Baloch families are facing collective punishment. He gave the example of the cruel killing of Shah Jahan Baloch, brother of BSO-A missing president Zahid Baloch. Niaz Baloch also said that human rights activist Saeeda Baloch and his sister have also been arrested. Apart from this, the forced disappearance of more than a dozen members of the Kambarni family of Balochistan also highlights the seriousness of the crisis.
