In the case of violence on November 24 last year in Sambhal, UP, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the local police has arrested Sadar Advocate Zafar Ali of Shahi Jama Masjid. He was called to record the statement in the violence related case. First Zafar was detained and was later arrested.

Police said that Zafar Ali has been arrested in the same case in the FIR in which Sambhal MP Zia ur Rehman Burke is accused.
