On Monday, the Central Government has issued an order to increase the salaries and allowances of MPs and former MPs and now soon the MLAs can get a gift in Madhya Pradesh. However, this gift is to increase the limit of taking loans rather than increase in salary.

It may be decided to double the limit of taking loans to MP MLAs soon. After which the MLAs will be able to take a loan of 50 lakhs for the house and up to 30 lakh rupees for the car.

In fact, the Member of the Assembly has sent a proposal to the government to double the loan limit for the MLAs. After getting approval from there, it will be sent to the Department of Parliamentary Affairs and after that the proposal can be implemented after the approval of the cabinet.

Currently, MLAs can take a loan of Rs 25 lakh for the house and up to Rs 15 lakh for the car, but after getting the approval from the cabinet, this limit will increase directly to double, that is, the MLAs will be able to take a loan of 50 lakhs for the house and up to Rs 30 lakh for the car.

Not only this, if the MLA takes a loan of old limit i.e. 25 lakh and 15 lakhs, then they will have to pay interest at the rate of 4% and the remaining interest amount will be paid by the government.

According to sources associated with the Assembly Secretariat, a proposal has been sent by the Member Facilitation Committee, but the possibility of a decision on it is less soon.
