A thug who runs a fake intelligence organization and forged documents in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh has been arrested and a thug has been arrested. According to the police officer, Vijay Massey described himself as the director of a fake organization called ‘Cover Intelligence Network Social Welfare Association’ and to prepare a fake identity document from people.

A joint team of police and special operations groups (SOG) raided Patel Nagar in Bareilly on Monday evening and arrested Massey from his office. Many fake documents and materials were seized during the action.

Superintendent of Police (City) Manush Pareek said, “We received confidential complaints that a person is misleading people by claiming to be the director of the intelligence agency. The charges were found to be true on investigation. A case has been registered against him and he has been sent to jail.”

According to the news agency, the official said that during interrogation, Massey revealed that he is a resident of Champawat district of Uttarakhand and was living here in Izatnagar. Vijay Massey admitted that he had studied only up to 12th standard and worked for a security company in Uttarakhand before the documents forgery.

Accused Massey confessed that he used the name ‘Cover Intelligence Network Social Welfare Society’ to woo the people and issued fake identity cards. Bareilly police official said- He distributed identity cards like police identity cards. Appointment letters and application forms of various departments, letters addressed to District Magistrate of Bareilly and Rudrapur have been seized from him. A car was also seized, on which the “Director” was written in the police style signs.

Bareilly SP said that Massey issued these fake intelligence network identity cards, which people used to avoid toll and police investigation. SP- “Massey also took money from the victims on the pretext of filing a complaint, getting loan and making jobs. He also put pressure on the authorities through fake letters to impress the decisions.”

Massey admitted that he had learned these tricks while working as a security guard in Uttarakhand. The police is now investigating his network and identifying others involved in the fraud.
