Chaitra navratri 2025: Chaitra Navratri is going to start from 30 March. The special importance of Chaitra Navratri has been told in the scriptures. This festival comes in the spring and is dedicated to the nine forms of Maa Durga. Navratri means nine nights, in which nine different forms of Maa Durga are worshiped. It is said that in these holy days, the worship of the goddess gives the desired fruit. During this time, there is a law of worship of mother Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri.

Importance of Chaitra Navratri
In Chaitra Navratri, the nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped. At the same time, Hindu New Year also starts from Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, which is called Hindu Nav Samvatsar. There is also a law to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram on the last day of Chaitra Navratri. In these nine days, fasting, meditation and bhajan-kirtan purifies the mind and body and devotees get spiritual energy.

According to the Panchang, Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month is going to stay from 04.27 pm on March 29 to 12.49 pm on March 30. Due to Udiya Tithi, Chaitra Navratri will begin on March 30 and it will conclude on 6 April.

Auspicious time
Chaitra Navratri begins with Ghatasthapana i.e. Kalash establishment on Pratipada date. This time there will be two auspicious times for Ghatasthapana on Chaitra Navratri. On March 30, there is a Muhurta of Ghatasthapana from 06.13 am to 10:22 am. Then you will be able to do Ghatasthapana in Abhijeet Muhurta from 12:01 pm to 12.50 pm.
