Iran has released a new video of an underground “Missile City”, demonstrating its military power. It can be seen passing between heavy weapons in a long tunnel. In this video released on Tuesday,, the Chief of Staff General of Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force Commander Amir Ali Hajizade is seen visiting the missile base inside a tunnel.

The footage released by the Iranian media showed that this underground base is filled with various types of ballistic missiles. This video has been released by government media and an attempt has been made to convey a message with dangerous background music that Iran is able to withstand any attack and give a tough answer. The officers are seen traveling inside this complex tunnel system riding in a special vehicle.

What was shown in the video?
In this 85-second video, Major General Mohammad Hussain Bagheri, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander Amir Ali Hajizade, Commander of Aerospace Forces of Aerospace Force, is seen moving among the most advanced missiles and rockets of Iran. These include Khyber Chirens, Kadar-H, Sajjil, Haj Kasim and Pave Land Attack Cruise Missiles. Some of these weapons were used by Iran in an attack on Israel last year.

Regarding this, Commander Hajizade said, “If we start from today, we can unveil a new missile city every week. The project will continue for the next two years.” This statement clearly indicates that Iran is moving towards strengthening its defense capabilities continuously.

Video released amidst American threats

This video has come up at a time when tension between America and Iran is continuously increasing. Recently, US President Donald Trump has given Tehran a two -month ultimatum to re -talk on the nuclear deal. Earlier, in 2018, the Trump administration had dropped the US out of the nuclear deal signed by former President Barack Obama. In addition, Trump has indicated that the US may also target Iran in the ongoing military operations against the Huti rebels, as Iran is considered the main supporter of these rebels.
