An MoU has been signed for the Urban Logistics Service between Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Express Logistics Service Provider Blue Dart. Under this MoU, DMRC cargo will provide facility in non -peak time in collaboration with Blue Dart.

This will reduce dependence on road transport. Crowds will be reduced and vehicles will reduce pollution. DMRC will adapt its resources to strengthen its commitment to environmentally friendly transport solutions.

Metro is searching for ways to use its extra ability to generate revenue globally, promoting stability. For example, Madrid Metro has launched a pilot project in association with logistics partners for parcel transport through metro trains, which will reduce road traffic and pollution. DMRC Urban is actively connecting with the Madrid metro to exchange information and excellent functions of freight transportation.

The project enhances the efficiency of the supply chain by integrating first-mile and last-mile connectivity through metro-able logistics solutions and micro parcel hubs, reducing congestion on roads and urban pollution. Under this initiative, DMRC is taking advantage of its stations and tracks to set up a permanent urban freight network in Delhi-NCR.

Explain that this service is part of the important cooperation between DMRC and India’s major express logistics service provider Blue Dart. This is a new initiative of its kind.
