Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Sunday interacted on the need for technology for national security. He said that in today’s time, technical capacity has become a new currency of resistance power and data has become a new capital of trade and security.

Speaking at the fourth General Bipin Rawat Memorial Lecture in Delhi, General Dwivedi said that the National Security is about the overall ability to fight war and to stop the war. He talked about the need for interaction with his partners in the global south of India. He said that the United Nations Security Council should improve to include representatives of the global South.

In the recent India Today Conclave, Upendra Dwivedi had said that the Indian Army is fast adopting new technology and is fully prepared to face every challenge. During this, he said that China cannot be trusted. He also said that war is not in the interest of any country, but if such a situation comes, the Indian Army is ready to respond with full preparation according to its strategy and strength.
