Discussion in House: TMC MP
According to a source, the Trinamool Congress MPs demanded that the issue be discussed in the House and not outside the House.
A TMC leader said, ‘Why are the issues not being discussed in Parliament? There is a system of listing and discussing issues. An MP either gives notice or brings a proposal.
The TMC leader said, ‘AITC, among other issues, has given notice to discuss the important issue of duplicate EPIC card which is waiting for the listed for the last 10 days. We are patient, but this government is insulting Parliament. All these issues should be discussed in the House. Not anywhere else.
This is a good initiative: BJP MP
Meanwhile, BJP MP Kiran Chaudhary called it a good initiative taken by the Chairman.
He said, ‘This is a good initiative. Everyone has faith in the judiciary, but the things that are being said about this incident. Whether they are true or lies, they create anxiety. If trust is lost from the judiciary, nothing will be left.
Vice President Dhankhar had a meeting with the House Leader JP Nadda and Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday and said that he has decided to wait for the result of the internal check panel appointed by CJI before taking the issue forward.
The meeting was held on March 21 in the House in the context of the comments made by Dhankhar, responding to the issues raised by Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on the cash recovery dispute.
Dhankhar mentioned the system for judicial appointments after the NJAC Act was passed in 2014. Later, the Supreme Court canceled this law. The Chairman had also said in the House that he will find a mechanism for structured discussion during the session on this issue.
