Assam: Mathematics of 11th and English Examination Paper Leaked of Class 9, Examination Cancel – Class 11 and 9 Papers Leaked Exams Cancelled In Assam LCLK

The examinations were canceled on Thursday due to the Class 11 Mathematics Examination of Assam State Board and the English examination paper of class 9 of Barpeta district. The administration has started investigation in this case and a police complaint has been lodged.

According to the news agency report, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu shared the notification of the Assam State School Education (ASSEB) on the social media platform ‘X’, stating that the Mathematics examination of class 11 has been postponed for unavoidable reasons. This exam was to be held in the afternoon session on 21 March 2025.

A senior Asseb official confirmed that the mathematics paper was leaked, due to which the examination had to be canceled. ‘We are investigating this matter and will take legal action soon. The higher secondary first year exam of class 11 started on 6 March and was to end on 29 March.

On Thursday, the annual English examination paper of class 9 in Barpeta district of Assam was also canceled due to leaking. This exam was to be held on 20 March. Ratul Kumar Das, the school inspector of Barpeta (Inspector of Schools), issued an order to all the school heads and informed about the postponement of the examination.

He said, ‘The English examination of class 9 to be held on March 20 is postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The new date will be reported later. An official of the district level internal examination committee said on the condition of anonymity that he had received information about the paper leak on Wednesday evening.
