A Nashik police officer told PTI that advocate Gitesh Bankar claimed that he had seen Krishna Andhale, accused of the sarpanch murder case near a temple in Sahadev Nagar on Gangapur Road on Wednesday morning, police came into action after the same information.

Deshmukh of Masajog village in Beed district was abducted on 9 December last year and was tortured and murdered. The police have so far arrested seven people in this case, while Krishna Andhale has not been caught yet. His search is on.

Advocate Gitesh Bankar claimed that he had seen Krishna Andhale at around 9.15 am on Wednesday. Gitesh had told a news channel on Wednesday that he saw two people standing near a tree. One of them applied tilak on the forehead and was wearing a mask. When he lowered the mask for a moment, he saw that he was Krishna blind. He immediately rode on the bike and left.

Advocate Gitesh immediately informed the police, after which the police team reached the spot and started a search operation. Police searched footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area. The police officer said that later, the crime branch also took action, but no evidence or accused was found.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Prashant Bachhav said that the crime branch investigated the case, but no evidence or mark of any accused was found. When the report on social media and other media platforms was examined, the police found that there was no truth in this information. This proved to be only a rumor.

Let us tell you that last month, unconfirmed news of absconding accused Krishna Andhale was seen in Nashik. Even then the police had come into action.
