DDA DEMOLION DRIVE – DDA’s team had come to break three temples, DDA’s intervention stopped Dimolishan Drive – DDA Stopped Demolition of Three Temples in Mayur Vihar Phase 2 after CM Rekha Gupta Intervention NTC
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) demolition drive has been stopped indefinitely in Mayur Vihar Phase-2 of Patparganj area of Delhi. Patparganj MLA Ravinder Singh Negi requested Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to stop this drive. He claims that after CM’s intervention, the DDA has stopped its demolition drive.
After the order of the Delhi High Court, the DDA team reached Mayur Vihar Phase-2 at 4:00 am to break the three temples. DDA’s bulldozers were to run at the Kali Temple, Amarnath Temple and Badrinath Temple. It is alleged that these three temples are built on the green belt. In the presence of a heavy police force, the DDA team was about to start the process of breaking the temples from JCB, when local BJP MLA Ravinder Singh Negi reached the spot and lodged his protest.

The DDA team arrived with the police force as per the High Court order to break the temples located in Mayur Vihar Phase 2 of Patparganj Assembly. But we were present there from 3 o’clock in the night and made every effort that this temple was a symbol of our faith.

Ravinder Singh Negi informed Chief Minister Rekha Gupta about the whole matter. The BJP MLA claims that the CM took cognizance of his request and immediately intervened and the DDA had to stop his demolition drive against the three temples. He posted a post in this regard from his X handle, in which he wrote, ‘The DDA team arrived with the police force as per the High Court order to break the temples located in Mayur Vihar Phase-2 of Patparganj Assembly. But we were present there from 3 o’clock at night and made every effort that these temples symbols of our faith should be safe.

The BJP MLA from Patparganj further wrote, ‘Talking to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, LG Sahab and local MP, immediate action was stopped and the police was sent back to the police. The process of breaking the temples was stopped after the Chief Minister’s immediate order. These temples are places related to our faith, culture and feelings of society. We will always be ready to protect religion, faith and people’s feelings.
