A tragic incident has come to light in the Indirapuram police station area of ​​Ghaziabad, where teacher Anvita Sharma, working in Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) Dallupura, Delhi, committed suicide by hanging herself in her in -laws. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the case.

According to the information, Anvita was married to Gaurav Kaushik on 8 December 2019, who is a doctor in Max Hospital. At the wedding, Anvita’s father Anil Sharma spent Rs 26 lakh and also gave a Swift Desire car in dowry. Despite this, the in -laws’ side was constantly demanding dowry and torturing mentally and physically.

Anvita was forced to be financially independent

Anvita was not financially independent despite being a government teacher, because her salary, ATMs and checkbooks lived in the possession of in -laws. When he tried to ask for the money back, he was assaulted and abused.

According to the victim’s family, on 16 March 2025, Gaurav, his father Surendra and mother Manju Sharma tortured Anvita badly. Hurt by this, he wrote a suicide note and hanged. At around 1:30 pm, he was taken to Le-Crest Hospital in Vasundhara in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead.

Police filed a case on the victim’s father’s tahrir

On the tahrir of Anvita’s father, the police registered a case against husband Gaurav Kaushik, father -in -law Surendra Sharma and mother -in -law Manju Sharma under sections 85, 115 (2), 352, 80 (2) and sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The police immediately took action and arrested the husband and father -in -law, while the questioning of mother -in -law Manju Sharma is going on.
