Gujarat engineer Amit Gupta has been taken into custody by Qatar police. He was on the radar of the Qatar administration in connection with an investigation. According to sources, the Indian Embassy in Doha is aware of the matter and is in constant touch with Amit Gupta’s family, his lawyer and Qatar officials.

The Indian Embassy issued a statement saying that all possible help is being provided and their case is being closely monitored.
