Tension between two communities increased during the Mangala procession taken out on Tuesday before Ram Navami in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. Actually, Mangala procession is taken out every Tuesday before Ram Navami. Today, after Holi, the Mangala procession was taken out on the second Tuesday as well.
Various akharas of Hazaribagh were passing through various square-intersections of Hazaribagh for their respective processions, when some anti-social elements pelted stones. Stoning was carried out near Jama Masjid Chowk in Hazaribagh, where the situation became tense.
Controversy over song
On receiving the news of stone pelting, the police immediately came into action. To stop the stone pelting, the police had to do four rounds of air firing, which caused the crowd to be pheasant. There was a dispute between the two sides over the communal song here, after which the situation became tense and then stones started to be pelted.

Stones started moving from both sides. Police reached the spot and lathi-charged and four rounds of aerial firing and the crowd was fed. Police and senior officials of Hazaribagh are camping at the scene. At present, the situation is still under control, efforts are being made to explain the people of both the communities.
