The Union Minister explained the example that the train fare to travel 350 km in India is Rs 121, but for the same distance the rail fare in Pakistan is Rs 436, while in Bangladesh it is Rs 323 and Rs 413 in Sri Lanka. He further said that in European countries, it is up to 20 times more than India.

Railway Minister said- focus on safety
Speaking in Parliament, Railway Minister said that we have a lot of focus on railway safety. Taking steps forward in this direction, many technical changes have been done by Indian Railways. These include Longar Rail, Electronic Interlocking, Fog Safety device and many big steps are being continuously improved in Indian Railways.

Constant expansion of railway
Counting the achievements of the railway, the Railway Minister further said that 12,000 rail flyovers and rail underbridges have been built, which has made a huge benefit to the country. Apart from this, tracks of 34,000 km railway have been made, which is more than the entire rail network of Germany. 50 thousand kilometers of old tracks have been removed and new tracks have been laid, due to which there has been a big improvement in safety.

Ashwini Vaishnav said that the production of locomotives in the country, engine production has reached 1,400. And add the whole of America and Europe, then India’s locomotive production is even more than that. Not only this, India has become a big exporter of Railways. Australia are being sent to Metro Coaches, UK, Saudi and France to coaches and Operation Equipment to Mexico, Spain, Germany, Italy. Soon the locomotives of Bihar and the wheels made of Tamil Nadu will run in the world.
