Police have recovered more than 200 SIM cards, SIM boxes and other equipment from the spot.
According to the agency, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rakesh Kumar Mishra said that this illegal call exchange was running on the upper floor of the house of a youth named Junaid in Lakhipura area. Police raided Lisadi Gate Police Station Incharge Subhash Chandra Gautam and SWAT team in -charge Arun Kumar Mishra on the basis of a secret information.
During this time, the accused who were arrested have been identified as Junaid, his brother Shakib, Aris and Asif. At the same time, three accused Shah Rukh, Zeeshan and Haji Irfan are absconding, who are being searched.

Police say that the accused used to convert international VoIP calls into general voice calls. This hid the identity of the caller and the government was losing revenue. With this fraud, the accused were earning from 20,000 to 25,000 rupees daily.
Investigation revealed that Junaid and Zeeshan had done this complete planning. To start this business, he had an investment of four lakh rupees from Haji Irfan. He promised to give him a 60 percent stake in profit. After this, he included Asif in this gang. He prepared this illegal call exchange at a cost of Rs 3.45 lakh. At the same time, Shahrukh helped this network SIM card, SIM box and technical help.
Test was first done in Dehradun, then setup in Meerut
Police said that this call exchange was first tested at Rizwan’s house in Dehradun, but in November 2024 it was shifted to Meerut. After this, this business was going on continuously. The police have registered a case against the accused under the Code of Justice of India (BNS), Indian Telegraph Act and IT Act. Officials say that this operation was a serious threat to national security, as it made it difficult to trace many suspicious calls. Further investigation is going on in this case, and the police team is working to arrest the absconding accused.
