IPL 2025: 3 fast bowlers, price 24.75 crores … This IPL team’s ‘pace tiki’ is eating the fitness of ‘Paes Tiki’

A week before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 opening match (to be held on 22 March), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are facing a lot of trouble. In fact, his Indian fast bowlers Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan have not yet received the approved to be ‘Fuli Fit’ from the Bangalore -based Center of Excellence (formerly known as NCA).

Mayank has a stretch problem in the back and has been out of the field since his first T20 series against Bangladesh in October 2024. According to the report of ‘Cricbuzz’, the charge is going through the rehab for the knee cartilage. He was referred to the NCA and was injected to fix the problem after the Madhya Pradesh’s Ranji Trophy match against Kerala earlier this year.

There is not much information about the injury of left -arm fast bowler Mohsin. His last performance in domestic cricket took place on 31 December. In the Vijay Hazare match, this UP bowler did 5.5 overs against Chandigarh. It is not clear whether he will be able to fit perfectly in the next few weeks.

Mayank and Mohsin were retained by LSG. Fast bowler Mayank was retained for Rs 11 crore while Ancapped Mohsin received Rs 4 crore. In the auction, LSG had obtained the services of charge for Rs 9.75 crore.

The LSG has to play against Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam on March 24 in the first match of its campaign against Delhi Capitals (DC).

So Trashab Pant’s tension will increase
If this trio is not available, then the new LSG captain Rishabh Pant will have a weak fast bowling attack. Other Indian options include Akash Deep, Akash Singh and Prince Yadav. LSG may have to depend on his foreign player Shamar Joseph and Spin invasion to strengthen the bowling lineup. Michhel Marsh’s injury has created problems for LSG as he is available to play as a batsman in the league.
