ISRO is a big success in space, D -docking of spadex satellites will be successful … Gaganyaan Mission will get strengthening
ISRO successfully separated Spadex (Space Docking Experiment) satellites (De-Dock). This achievement will make the future moon missions, human space travel and the path of India’s space station easier. Union Minister Jitendra Singh announced this on the social media platform ‘X’.
He said, “Spadex satellites completed incredible de-dock. It clears the way for future missions such as Bharatiya Antriksha Station, Chandrayaan-4 and Gaganyaan. Congratulations to the ISRO team.
What is SPADEX Mission?
The SPADEX mission was launched on 30 December 2024. Under this mission, ISRO established two satellites (SDX01 and SDX02) in orbit. Their purpose was to test the technique of docking (joining) and then separation in space. On 16 January 2025, these satellites were successfully added. Now on 13 March 2025 at 9:20 am ISRO achieved success in separating them in the first attempt.
Now what next?
ISRO reported that satellites are now freely roaming their classes and their condition is normal. With this achievement, India has successfully tested the entire process of meeting, joining and separating in space. In the coming days, ISRO will do more important experiments on these satellites. The entire operation was controlled from ground stations at Bangalore, Lucknow and Mauritius.
Why is this achievement special?
ISRO reported that it was an affordable experiment, which would prove to be very useful for India’s space operations in the future. This technology of docking and de-docking in space will play an important role in India’s space stations and human missions.
