The Delhi High Court Registry has officially announced that judicial work has been withdrawn from Justice Yashwant Verma. This decision has been taken after the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court (CJ) Devendra Kumar Upadhyay after the instructions of the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjeev Khanna.
The first news came that Justice Yashwant Verma has been shown as the head of the Division Bench No-3 for hearing cases in the court for Monday. However, now it has become clear from the court that Justice will not attend the hearing from Verma.
CJI gave instructions to withdraw judicial work
The official statement issued by the registry said, “The judicial work is withdrawn with immediate effect from Justice Yashwant Verma in view of the recently revealed developments.” Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjeev Khanna had directed the High Court not to hand over any judicial work to Justice Yashwant Verma. Until a decision comes, they should be kept away from hearing.
Three -member inquiry committee constituted
Let us know that the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjeev Khanna has constituted a three -member committee to investigate the allegations against Delhi High Court judge Yashwant Verma in the ‘Cash at Home’ case. This inquiry committee will be chaired by Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court Jasit Sheel Nagu. The committee in the committee, Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court Jasit GS Sandhavalia and Karnataka High Court Judge Justice Anu Shivraman are also included.
