Life, Leadership and 70 hours work … Gaur Gopaldas said the success of corporate life
BT Mindarsh, a special program of Business Today, was organized on Saturday. On this occasion, spiritual guru and motivational speaker Gaur Gopal Das took part in the special session. In a session called “The Art and Science of Mind Management”, he shared his views on intensive topics like peace of mind, life’s attitudes and strategy.
Gaur Gopal Das said in his address, “All our decisions, whether they are professional or personal, depend on the peace and clarity of our mind. Just as the water of a lake is filled with bubbles, its floor is not visible, in the same way, the disturbance of the mind stops us from seeing the right path. When the mind is calm, we can take the right decision only when the mind is calm.” He emphasized that keeping the mind stable in today’s run -of -the -mill life is a big challenge, but it is also very important.
How are our decisions affected by different elements?
Describing today’s world as ‘Vuca’ (Vuca), unstable, uncertain, complex and vague, he said that it is mandatory to have mental and emotional strength in this period. He added, “Today’s global economy is so complex that many interconnected elements affect our decisions. It is very important to stabilize the mind to choose the right path amidst market status, financial fluctuations and uncertainty.” In this context, he also informed that in today’s world, mental flexibility is an important quality to keep pace with rapidly changing conditions and unexpected circumstances.
It is not necessary to make a strategy
Gaur Gopal Das also said that it is not only enough to make a strategy, but the right approach is equally important to implement it. “You may have the best strategy, but if you do not have inner strength, patience and mental flexibility, then it is no use. It is necessary not only for the leaders, but also for the entire team working with them.” He gave a message in the context of leadership and teamwork that a stable and balanced mind is the key to success.
He emphasized that it is more important to handle his mind before handling the world. “Our mind is the basis of both strategy and approach. If we can awaken our inner power, it becomes easy to deal with every challenge outside.” With this inspiring message, he encouraged the attendees to move towards balance and peace in life.
70 hours and balance between corporate life
Meanwhile, in the increasing order of conversation, Gaur Gopal Das expressed his opinion on the issue of working hours and balance in the corporate world. In this session, he was asked whether India is required to work 70-90 hours per week to become a world leader, as some corporates believe. What will be their status in this debate?
Gaur Gopal Das recited a fun Hindi poem in response:
“Pappu’s wife was upset, because his life was non-having.
Pappu used to work work throughout the day, he never got rest.
Pappu’s boss was also very cool, promoted promotion every time they used to go to the promotion.
Used to get the work done, he would never forget the deadline.
Pappu also wanted to become the best, so he did not do rest.
One day Pappu understood, and left he promoted Maya.
He said to the boss, why do you harass like this? Why do you make an owl by showing appraisal laddus?
The boss laughed and said, nothing is anything, I have more Pappu. ”
‘If anyone wants, work for 24 hours’
Through this poem, he highlighted the problem of corporate pressure and burnout in a light manner. He then seriously said, “If someone wants to work day and night, 24 hours and gives him happiness, then I am going to stop him? We live in a free world where everyone has their thinking and hard work. But if this ideology is imposed on everyone, it can be the cause of burnouts for those we lead to burnouts.”
What is Servant Leadership?
Referring to the ‘Servant Leadership’, he said that the first duty of a leader is to worry about the welfare of his team. “Kalyan means not only professional and economic success, but also mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health. Today people are professionally skilled, but they are not professionally healthy.” He questioned whether every human has the ability to work for so long? “Every human has its own limit. The body and mind need rest. Productivity, efficiency and effectiveness without comfort decreases.”
He advised that instead of being influenced by the opinion of the world, hear the voice of his conscience. While narrating the story of a fish seller, he said that if we keep obeying everyone, then our own existence will end. “Work 70 hours or 17 hours, it doesn’t matter. It matters that you find the right balance for yourself.”
