‘More than a thousand devotees who went to Mahakumbh missing, their posters are removing the government’, Akhilesh Yadav’s charge – Akhilesh Yadav Alleges Up Govt for Removing Posters of Missing People in Mahakumbh NTC
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has reacted sharply to the statement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi about Mahakumbh in the Lok Sabha. He raised many questions to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Uttar Pradesh government regarding organizing Mahakumbh. He alleged that more than a thousand devotees went missing in Mahakumbh. The UP government is removing the posters put on the missing people.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the organizing of Mahakumbh is a symbol of a spiritual consciousness, which is repeatedly remembered. He said that all governments try to improve it, but the biggest question is how much budget the central government had allocated for this event. He claimed that the information about how much the Uttar Pradesh government got, has not been made public.
Question on safety of devotees
Talking to news agency ANI, Akhilesh Yadav alleged that during Mahakumbh, there were many flaws regarding security and system. He said that the Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh were only arranging where the vehicles would stand, while many IPS officers were preventing people from moving forward for bathing. He alleged that the devotees were being stopped on borders and were denied bathing by the administration.
He said that when there is a debate about historical facts in the country, then the government should tell what was done to protect the devotees in the Mahakumbh. He claimed that about one thousand Hindu devotees are missing, who have not been detected so far.
Government surrounded the missing devotees
The Samajwadi Party chief questioned the BJP government as to why no assistance has been given to the families of those missing devotees. He said that many devotees from various states including Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh were killed in accidents, but the government has not yet helped any concrete help. He alleged that posters of missing people are installed in Prayagraj, but the Uttar Pradesh government is getting them removed.
Akhilesh said that it is the responsibility of the government to help those families whose members are lost. Akhilesh Yadav demanded from the BJP government that he should help in finding those devotees and inform their families. He said that the government should be sensitive to those who lose their lives in Mahakumbh and missing people and should provide relief to their families.
He said that the BJP and its people should at least help the families of the devotees whose family members are lost and about 1000 Hindus are still missing. The BJP should give information about 1000 Hindus missing to their families. Posters are still installed in Prayagraj. It is sad that the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh is removing those posters. The government should try to find at least 1000 Hindus who are missing.
