The CJI has set up an investigation on the incident of fire and then the cash scandal in Justice Verma’s residence complex. A three -member committee has been constituted. The Chief Justice of India has also shared the talk of the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court. The Supreme Court has released the video inside the house of Justice Verma. In this, half the notes are seen in four to five sacks. However, Justice Verma has given his long clarification and described the allegations as a conspiracy.

The officials were surprised when the stores that were on fire inside the house, because the bundles of notes were seen in the sacks there. Some notes were burnt in them. What did the head of the fire brigade say?
On Sunday, the Supreme Court officials reached the Delhi Fire Service Station at Bhikaji Cama Place in connection with the investigation. Here is the residence of Atul Garg, head of Delhi Fire Brigade. Atul’s statement came into the discussion two days ago. He claimed that fire personnel did not get any cash at Justice Verma’s residence. Garg said that at 11.35 pm on March 14, the control room was reported to be on fire at Verma’s residence and two fire engines were immediately sent to the spot. Fire brigade reached the spot at 11.43 pm. The fire was in a store room filled with stationery and household items. It took 15 minutes to control the fire. There were no casualties. Soon after extinguishing the fire, we informed the police about the fire incident. After that the team of personnel of the fire department left the spot. Our personnel did not get any cash while extinguishing the fire.
Supreme Court made the whole matter public
After that, late Saturday night, the Supreme Court has made public the photographs and the entire case of the burnt notes. The SC uploaded an in-house check report on its website to allegedly receive a huge amount of cash at Justice Verma’s house, including photos and videos. It has also been recommended in the 25 -page report that no judicial work should be entrusted to Justice Verma. Justice Verma’s reply has also been included in this report. Justice Verma dismissed the allegations and said, I or any member of my family never kept any cash in the storeroom and I strongly condemn this. He said, allegations of getting cash at home are clearly conspired to trap and discredit them.
The investigation report submitted by Delhi High Court Chief Justice DK Upadhyay also includes material related to official communication, which states that four to five half -bundles of Indian currency have been found. CJ Upadhyay has said in his report that I have prima facie the opinion that a thorough investigation of the whole matter is needed.
Proposal to transfer to Allahabad High Court
Earlier on Friday, the Supreme Court said in a statement that the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court has started an in-house investigation against Justice Verma. Apart from this, there has been a proposal to transfer Justice Verma to Allahabad High Court. There is also a dispute over this. Anil Tiwari, president of the Allahabad High Court Bar Association, said, “Is the general public believing in the perception that is being given by the Supreme Court administration- this is a question.” The way the matter is being settled, the public’s trust is shaking. Once the public’s trust is over, the entire democracy will end. The way the proceedings were going on, doubts arise in the mind of the general public.
Anil Tiwari said, there is doubt on the honesty of a particular judge and then the way the matter is being settled. I say that the investigation or investigation of the case should not be from the in-house committee but from the CBI or ED. I say that there are flaws in it. Arvind Kejriwal was the current CM of Delhi. He was sent to jail. He was not given any security in criminal cases. Then why is this special facility being given to Justice Yashwant Verma? They should be treated the same.
