Opposing the ethnic census, really anti -national, Professor Thorrat spoke Rahul Gandhi – Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi Discuss Caste discrimination and Caste Census with Prof Thorat Ntcpan
Babasaheb Ambedkar directly challenged caste discrimination through Mahad Satyagraha on 20 March 1927. For this reason, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday discussed the subject of ruling, education, bureaucracy and resources and caste census with educationist and economist Sukhdev Thorat. A video of this conversation has also been posted by Rahul Gandhi, in which he is discussing the importance of ethnic census.
The right of Dalits was taken away
In the video, Rahul Gandhi said that Dalits and backward have constitutional right to ethnic census but their rights are being taken away by not doing so. He said that injustice is being done to them by not conducting ethnic census. In the Constitution, all Indians have equal rights and everyone is seen with equal but the government does not want to accept it.
Sukhdev Thorat said that with the efforts of Babasaheb, we have the right to equality in the Constitution. But still no equality has been found in customs and religious beliefs and there is a dominance of upper castes. He said that between 2014 and 2020, more than 4 lakh cases of Dalit oppression have been registered and 14 thousand such cases are coming up every year. The big reason for this is that there is no access to resources to the scheduled castes.

Eradicated the history of backward
Rahul Gandhi said that BJP and RSS have eradicated the history of Dalits, tribals and backward. On this, Professor Thorat said that research and syllabus are in the hands of upper castes and they will never write about the real situation of Dalits or backward castes. For this reason, Maharashtra led Dalit literature, which later also had to accept the upper castes. In response to this, Rahul Gandhi said that but this history is not a part of the syllabus even today and no boy or girl studying in Delhi’s school is known about it because it is not part of the main education system.
Rahul Gandhi said that to give political representation to backward castes, BJP is making people of this society as MP or MLA, but such representation is not of any meaning because real power is being taken away from them. There is no representation of backward castes in institutional power such as bureaucracy, corporate and intelligence agencies.
Opposition to the nation’s opposition to ethnic census
He said that knowing who is occupied by education system, health services and bureaucracy is a fundamental nationalist practice. The Congress leader further said that I think not supporting the caste census is actually anti -national. Because it is clear that you are not ready to accept the truth of the country.
