Paper leak: The 9th class English paper has been canceled on Thursday (20 March 2025) in Assam. Officials suspect that the paper has gone viral on social media. The police is investigating the matter. Also, all schools in Barpeta district have been informed about the 9th annual examination English paper cancellation.

Actually, annual examinations of 9th class are being conducted in Assam. English paper was to be held on 20 March. During this time, the paper was claimed to be leaked on social media. After this, the annual English examination of class 9 was canceled in all schools in Barpeta district of Assam.

Barpeta School Inspector Ratul Kumar Das issued an order to all the school heads of the district and informed them about the cancellation of the examination. Das said in the order, “I want to inform you that the English paper of the annual examination of class 9 to be held on March 20 is postponed for unavoidable reasons.”

He said, “We suspect that the question paper was shared on social media. We are currently confirming all the claims. To ensure fairness, we have decided to cancel the exam.” The new date of examination will be announced later. Meanwhile, an official of the district level internal examination committee said that he had received information about the paper leaking on Wednesday evening.

Please tell that this is not the first case of paper leak during board examinations. Earlier, papers have also been leaked in Haryana, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh. 10th science and Hindi paper leaked in Jharkhand. There was a 12th English paper at many places in Haryana, while in Himachal Pradesh, a case of opening a question paper has come up on March 7, a day before the examination.
