Former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan can now play in ODI and league around the world. Actually, 37 -year -old Shakib’s bowling action has got a ‘clean chit’ and now he will be able to return to the field. He has retired from Test and T20.
In December last year, while playing for the English County Surrey, there was a complaint of action of Shakib and was justified. After this Shakib got a test in Chennai in January, but his action was not given valid agreement. For this reason, he had to stay out of the ICC Champions Trophy.
Shakib told Cricbuj, ‘This news is correct (to meet the bowling test) and I can bowl again.’ He did not say where he conducted the third review of bowling action.
He last played the second Test against India in October 2024 in Kanpur. Bangladesh now has to play ODI series from Sri Lanka, in which he can participate. He is not a part of PSL of IPL. He did not find any buyer in the IPL auction.
All -rounder Shakib has played 247 ODIs for Bangladesh so far. During this, he has taken 317 wickets in addition to scoring 4609 runs from 37.77 average.
