Students who removed Sheikh Hasina from power, now why are they protesting the army? Army on the road in Bangladesh – Bangladesh Student Protest Against Army Decision Sheikh Hasina Party Awami League Ntc
The situation in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is tense these days, where army patrolling has been increased. This step has increased the political instability already running in the country. The newly constituted National Citizen Party (NCP) has directly blamed the army for these conditions, alleging that the army is interfering in politics.
In recent months, the lead leader of NCP was supported by Mohammad Yunus. However, those leaders are accusing the army of “political intervention”. NCP prominent leader Hasanat Abdullah said in a press conference that the Army’s proposal, in which Awami League has been allowed to participate in the upcoming elections, is actually an example of political intervention. He clearly stated that “military intervention in unmoved Bangladesh will be unacceptable.”

Slogans against Bangladesh’s army chief
In the protest rallies, NCP pro-army chief was seen shouting slogans against General Walker Walker-Uz Zaman. In these rallies, there is a demand to punish Sheikh Hasina and her supporters. Although the army did not go to the university complexes, their patrolling is going on in the capital, which has made the situation even more tense.
Hasanat Abdullah claimed in his Facebook post that an attempt was being made to bring Awami League back to power. He said that on March 11, a proposal was made in the “military” cantonment, which was instructed to refuse to accept.

Mohammad Yunus appointed leaders in NCP
During the student movement in August last year, Sheikh Hasina’s 16-year-old rule came to an end, after which Professor Yoyunus was appointed as the head of the interim government. Yunus also appointed three of its former SAD leaders to major positions in the newly constituted NCP. During this time, political instability has also raised many questions on the election process of the country, where the demand for fair and independent elections is gaining momentum.
