According to the statement, the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court started collecting evidence and information as part of the in-house investigation process set by the Supreme Court. This inquiry was started before the collegium meeting of 20 March 2025. The Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court will submit his investigation report to the Chief Justice of India (21 March 2025) today (21 March 2025). After this, further action will be taken after reviewing this report.
Supreme Court statement on transfer of Justice Yashwant Verma
The Supreme Court made it clear that the proposal for transfer of Justice Yashwant Verma is completely different and independent from the in-house investigation process. The Supreme Court underlined the fact that Justice Yashwant Verma is currently the second senior -most judge and member of the collegium in the Delhi High Court. But after the transfer to Allahabad High Court, his seniority will be reduced to ninth.

The Supreme Court also said that many types of misinformation are being spread about the developments related to Justice Yashwant Verma’s residence.
