According to the police, an elderly man appeared in a pathetic condition on March 16 during patrolling on Varanasi-Ghazipur highway. When the police questioned him, he told that he had come to bathe with his wife at Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela. But got separated in the crowd. He had no mobile phone, nor money, due to which he kept wandering after losing direction.

The elder told that he kept wandering continuously by doing beggar, drinking water and going to direction. Passing through many places, Varanasi-Ghazipur reached the highway, where the Ghazipur police helped him. The police approached the concerned police station of Madhya Pradesh on the basis of information received from the elderly and informed his family. When the family received the news of his meeting, he immediately reached Ghazipur on 17 March.

Family members said that they had searched them in many places including Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Etawah. But no clue was found.
