Agra’s Anti-Narcotics Task Force (AntF) arrested a big drug smuggler in Mathura on Tuesday. Police say that heroin and smack worth about Rs 3 crore have been recovered from him. Further action is being taken in the case.
Mathura Superintendent of Police (City) Dr. Arvind Kumar said that the AntF team had received information that a smuggler was going to come to Mathura with a large amount of heroin and smack. After this, the team took action and nabbed the accused from a warehouse. In the search, 1.62 kg of heroin and 469 grams of smack were recovered.

Smuggler’s Identification and Network
The arrested accused has been identified as Mohammad Gayaas Ansari, who is a resident of Daulatpur village in Jamui district of Bihar. During interrogation, it was revealed that Ansari used to buy heroin from Bihar and supply it to Delhi, Faridabad, Rohtak and surrounding areas. According to the police, he had supplied drugs similar to 40-50 times so far.
Preparation for next consignment in Delhi
According to SP (City), Ansari was in the process of going to Delhi after supplying drugs in Mathura. But before that the police caught him. The police is now investigating who else is involved in this network and whether this gang is also spread at the interstate level. The police team is continuously taking action to investigate other smugglers’ contacts.
