Three people have been killed and 15 injured in firing at a park in Las Cruses in New Mexico, Merika. Police said the attack took place at the city’s Young Park at around 10 pm on Friday night. The injured people have been admitted to local hospitals.
According to the police, the age of the injured is between 16 and 36 years. A police officer said that no one has been arrested yet in connection with the firing, but the police “actively chasing many clues”.
Firing in two groups
Police chief Jeremy Story reported that 50 to 60 handgun kiosks were scattered in a large part of the park, indicating that there were many shooters and several weapons between the two groups and firing occurred due to “malicious” towards each other. Traffic has been closed to the area around the park. The police is conducting a comprehensive search operation for the shooters.

Police said the dead have been identified as a 16 -year -old youth and two young men aged 18 and 19. Las Cruses Fire Chief Michael Daniel said that 11 patients have been sent to three local hospitals or University Medical Center, Regional Trauma Center in El Paso.

Talking to the media, Las Cruses Mayor Eric Enriches said, “I urge the community to gather together, be strong and unite because we are trying to fix this tragic incident in our city and face it.” He described this firing as a heinous act. He said that I am very sad to see the victims and the affected families.
