The US sent a batch of 104 illegal Indian immigrants from the US Air Force C-17 Globmaster aircraft, which landed at Amritsar Airport in Punjab on 5 February. This was the first batch of Indians sent by the Donald Trump administration in action against illegal immigrants. In response to this question, the Minister of State for External Affairs said, ‘The US standard operation process (SOP) has said to use the ban on exile to manage effective exile since November 2012. US officials have said that some restrictions are imposed on people being deported to ensure the security of the mission. Although women and minors are usually not imposed on the fetters, but the flight officer in charge of exile is a final decision in this case.
He further said, ‘The American side has confirmed that no woman or child was imposed in exile flights on February 15 and 16, 2025. Our agencies have also confirmed this after the interview of the exiles on reaching India.
