Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has recently rejected the proposal of any kind of talk on the nuclear deal with the US. In response to a letter sent by President Donald Trump, he has refused to talk to him. Trump announced last week that he had proposed a nuclear deal by sending a letter to Khamenei.

Donald Trump also said in a warning tone that Iran can be handled either with military force or through an agreement. The letter was handed over to Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi on Wednesday by Anwar Gargash, the President of the President of the United Arab Emirates. Khamenei, while talking to some university students, called Trump’s talks “fraud”.

According to Iran’s official media, Khamenei said, “When we know that they will not respect it, what does it mean to talk?” Khamenei said that holding talks with the Trump administration would mean further tightening the restrictions imposed on Iran and increasing the pressure on the country.

Trump took action on Iran in 2018

In 2018, Trump withdrew Tehran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers to withdraw the US and re -implemented the restrictions, causing a profound impact on Iran’s economy. Khamenei clarified that Iran would not attend the talks under any kind of threat.
