Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma: A big news is coming out about the divorce of Indian team star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma. The decision on the divorce of both of them may come tomorrow (March 20).
The Bombay High Court has ordered the Bandra Magistrate Court to decide by Thursday on the proceedings of mutual divorce started by Chahal and his wife Dhanashree.
Punjab will play for Punjab team in IPL 2025
34 -year -old Yuzvendra Chahal is preparing to land in the IPL 2025 season. He will play for Punjab Kings (PBKS) this time. The tournament will begin on 22 March. While the Punjab team will play their first match against Gujarat Titans on 25 March.
The Punjab team, owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, bought Chahal in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The franchise made a big bid of Rs 18 crore to buy Chahal. Chahal has earlier played for Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL.
A bench of Justice Madhav Jamdar said that Chahal’s lawyer has been talked about. He has told that Chahal will not be available in the court since March 21, as he will be busy in IPL. This is the reason that the Family Court has directed that the verdict should be pronounced by March 20 in this case of divorce.
The petition was filed only last month
Both Chahal and Dhanashree filed a petition in the Family Court on 5 February to divorce by mutual consent. However, the Family Court refused to forgive the 6 -month cooling of period.
After this, both Chahal and Dhanashree challenged this decision of the Family Court in the High Court. Explain that under Section 13B, a 6 -month cooling of period is necessary under the Hindu Marriage Act to get divorce. This time is given, so that the two husbands and wife can agree and decide to stay with them and not divorce. The matter should be resolved again between them.
Chahal agreed to give 4.75 crores to Dhanshree
While Justice Jamdar considered that Chahal and Verma have been living separately for two and a half years and in connection with the payment of alimony, the conditions of consent have been complied between the two sides during mediation. After this idea, the bench waived the cooling period. According to the Family Court, Chahal had said to give Rs 4.75 crore to Dhanashree. Out of this, he has given Rs 2.37 crore so far.
